Repetition is key. Pick 3 routines you want to work on, and carry them out for 21 days. Turn tomorrow morning into a habit!
Feel like you’re stuck in a rut? Shaking up your routine can help you to see things from a different angle. A very easy and fun way to start is to use your non-dominant to do a task. Switching hands helps to improve your brain function, coordination and motivation. It literally wakes up your brain!
So tomorrow morning, try to eat your breakfast with your other hand, and observe what happens. It will feel strange, weird and unusual, but these are exactly the feelings that you need to tickle your brain. Also fun to do with kids!
Challenge yourself to do this for a week, and try to switch up other routines as well. Think about brushing your teeth, or drinking a tea or coffee. It is fun to stir things up sometimes, it helps you to think about what you are doing and gets you off auto-pilot which makes you more mindful.
